Brewing these Single Cups resulted in strong lingering aromas of sweet chocolate & cocoa which reminded us, oddly enough, of Cocoa Puffs cereal. No idea why that’s the first thing which came to mind, but that’s all we could think of. You definitely get cocoa aromas blended with some sweet milk chocolate notes throughout. If anything, the aroma was spot-on and it lingered around the room for a long time afterwards. So far, this one wins the aroma award as the strongest scent in BBR’s line-up & it was so enjoyable we couldn’t wait to dig in and see what awaited us in the final cup.
Flavor was thankfully just as rich as the aroma. Things kick off with a generous punch of cocoa and dark chocolate flavors which morph mid-way to reveal some of the underlying smoky notes from the coffee itself and then finish off with sweet milk chocolate notes in the end. There’s definitely no doubt whatsoever that you’re drinking a chocolate flavored coffee and for a Single Cup, we have to admit we were rather impressed with the results. Strong aromas of sweet chocolate & cocoa quickly fill the room and seem to linger around forever. BBR might as well start marketing these Single Cups as aromatherapy diffusers.
